If anyone can belt out Nathaniel Rateliff's "S.O.B." with more soulful and seemingly authentically pained toe-tapping gospel conviction than Marc Anthony, it would have to Rateliff hmself. Believing that which I heard at the pool yesterday to be a recording, I was both pulled in and surprised to see a singer. I was further surprised that it was anyone other than the recording artist himself. J Hibard
As Billy Joel laments that "Only the Good Die Young," let's hope a seemingly addicted Rateliff and his Night Sweats, or Marc for that matter, take a path other than Amy Winehouse's.
What a satisfyingly soulful and low down juke joint jumpin' funk. Kudos to whoever brought the Marc Anthony Band in.
